New Terblanche designed concept Guzzis are showing up at the Milan show this week. Some really nice stuff IMO

I always liked the stuff that he did at Ducati, but lots didn't. He looks to have found a good home with MotoGuzzi.

I liked his stuff at Ducati. I did buy the Hypermotard. I liked the 999 too. I wasn't crazy about it at first on the photo but when I first saw it for the first time in real life, I thought it was an absolutely stunning bike. I actually liked it better than the 916/996/998 series.

I just hope they don't mess with the California Vintage. Looks mighty fine as it is.

I know it's unfair to compare production bikes to concepts, but those, uh, Gooses (Geese?) are gorgeous. Maybe there's something about Guzzi that just suits Terblanche more.

A few Q's if anyone has answers...

Shaftie? I don't see a chain or belt.
Perpendicular mounted 45 degree? (not sure I have the term right, but it is perpendicular to the drive train).

I'd like to have a shaft driven bike, certainly and with the cylinders coming out the sides it reminds me of certain BMW bikes that I like as well.

It would be nice to see something similar in a production model.

Better, though would be to see someone sitting on it. It looks like a standard.

Yes shaft driven.

The Vee is at a 90 degree angle.

The engine is longitudinally mounted.

Dealers

#7 Post by PawDawg » Tue Nov 24, 2009 7:36 am

I've been "Guzzi" touched fro a few years now but I can't find a dealer to sell me one. That's why I got the Airhead instead. Does anyone know a dealer in the US that actually sells Moto Guzzies. There is a few that show up on the dealership locator but when I get there, they try and sell me something else...

Anyway, I've always thought his work was inspiring but when they become consumer bikes then I'll be impressed. :frusty:

Yea, and I wanted a Norton too but I didn't get my down payment in on time. Right....
