Hello!
I'm new to this forum and not quite even new to motorcycling. I'm looking into getting my first motorcycle soon. I'm a small female and any suggestions as to a good first ride are welcomed! I really like older style cruising bikes, I also have been looking into the Honda Rebel 250. I find myself often looking at Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda 250s from the 60s and 70s, but a motorcycling friend of mine says its generally not a great idea to try and get a cheap older bike because you end up with all sorts of problems that make it a very expensive older bike. I don't have a lot of money, so am hoping to find a good inexpensive first motorcycle.
I live in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, New York.
Anyway, Hello everyone!
Thanks,
Cait

you should be able to find a gently used starter bike for a pretty reasonable price. especially now when the weather isn't so good for riding in your neck of the woods.
and there's plenty of good starter bikes to choose from. i've always loved cruisers, too, but started on a ninja 250 just because it was more comfortable for me than the rebel was. go sit on some bikes and see what strikes your fancy.
also, welcome to the site.
