Hello from Stumptown!
Hello! I just started riding last year and love it. I currently have a 1984 Suzuki GS550ES with 7k miles on it, only 2k are mine.
I am currently looking to buy another bike cuz my girly wants to start riding as well. I have read your post on beginner bikers, thought it has some real pearls of wisdom.
Hope to learn some more from you guys.
thanks
JP

Yea Oregon is awesome... when it's not raining and cold and dark and well crappy out. Between the months of June and September it's great riding weather.

Greetings from England and welcome to the forum!
I didn't realise Stumptown was in Oregon. I've been to Oregon a few times and I've always loved it. Have you ever driven through the huge tree? That's one thing I remember from when I was 11 years old.
Have fun putting more miles on that bike and finding another one for your gf.

Re: Hello from Stumptown!
OMG 2 people from UK, I feel so international. LOLZ. Stumptown is another name for Portland. Here in Oregon we like to name everything 2 or 3 times: what you see on a map and what the locals like to call it. Like Portland = Stumptown or Ripcity(if you are a Blazers fan.) It get especially difficult when you have 2 different highways named the same thing however going to complete different places. I go on some FUN adventures sometimes. Not to mention the whole street naming thing: 1 st, is different from 1 ave and different from 1 blvd and different from 1 crescent, circle, lane, junction, trail, deer track, ect ect. Some Oregonians have started using Latitude and Longitude instead of street names. Needless to say it gets a little crazy out here. Just look at the Kim's from 2008. Anywho I wanted to leave you all with the ultimate pic... Robot Pirate vs Zombie Ninja on a dinosaur OMG OMFG! YEA = better than olympics!
