Sadly, read all about it:

Assets of Ridley Motorcycle Company Acquired

(Okla. City, Okla.-02/22/2010) 2 Wheel Ventures, LLC., a former Ridley Motorcycle Company licensee, today announced that on February 16, 2010, it acquired the significant assets of Ridley Motorcycle Company.

The purchase includes all necessary intellectual property rights, tooling/fixtures, parts inventory, and manufacturing management software/hardware systems. 2 Wheel Ventures has also secured the company's manufacturing plant and former key personel...

That makes 3 motorcycle manufacturers thus far unfortunately.

Isn't it time for Indian to go out of business again?

Any Motorcycle company that doesn't realize there is a market for small cc bikes at a resonable prices. Indian, Harley and Victory could end up like GM and Chrysler.

I'm tired of these idiots constantly exhuming Indian only to build overpriced joke of a bike. Unless they can do justice to the sacred Indian name, like Bloor did with the Triumphs, they should just let Indian rest in peace.

Isn't MV Agusta due to go down any day now?

It seems like they are OK. They just introduced new Brutales.

The North American moto market is ripe for a "taking over." It would be too easy too. HYOSUNG (along with others from India) could bombard the USA shores with millions of small dispacement, reliable bikes. Millions of 'em. Just like the Japanese did 40 years ago with bikes (and cars). Just like.

Now that the "Big 3" are mostly Japanese, one would be lead to believe that the US manufacturers could figure it out, but alas, it isn't going to happen. They'll probably redevelope the Pinto and Vega, again...

Doubt it, HD is too entrenched.

Do small displacement bikes sell in the US? I always had the impression that the avaiability of models with ccs of, say, 400 and below, was pretty limited. I checked out a recent What Bike? and it's amazing how many small cc bikes are distributed in the UK.
