Victory Cross Country

I like the handlebars over the set up the vision has or had at least I have not seen a new model. The machine is actually very nice

I sat on a Victory Vision at last years Motorcycle Show at Javitz. It was only for a few seconds, but it felt scary big and made me wonder if I could even ride the thing. I actually like the styling.

Yeah, I did, too, until I rode behind one. The front is cool/funky, the tail is just plain bad. They are big, but they are supposed to be awfully well balanced. I would demo one in a heartbeat. Okay, I'd demo just about anything in a heartbeat, if I can touch bottom.

I have to agree with you...I sat on the Hammer this year at javitz and it felt enormous compared to my vrod.

I like the look of some of the Victories out there from a distance but when I see them up close, I am not a huge fan...some of the chrome parts on their bikes are plastic, which turns me off. I suppose I may fall into the typical "heavier is of higher quality" genre of consumer with this thinking, but plastic parts just don't do it for me.

Those jugs may be more technologically advanced but HD got it all over it in terms of looks. The HD jugs are just beautiful. The Victory jugs are just so blah.....

As much as I bash on Harley the knuckle head was one of the most beautiful motorcycles I have ever seen. But I do like the Victory juggs as well

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I thought the knuckle was kinda ugly. The shovel also looks crude to me. The Pan, IMO is the best looking HD jug ever.

I'm considering the Cross Country. Need to ride it yet. I saw someone mention the Vision feeling big; I thought it rode very well. The balance was excellent. The floorboards were nice and, for someone of my short stature of 5'7", eliminates the need for highway pegs. The low seat height and the styling of the Vision are what drew me to it initially. Price is what is making me consider the Cross Country.

Hey, Barry- I sat on both the Cross Country and the Vision at the motorcycle show last Friday. For me, the Vision felt very comfortable, the Cross Country did not. Cross Country seat just didn't work for me at all, reach to the bars was wrong, steering felt floppy, floorboards felt too high. This is all personal, of course - I'm a big guy. I had sat on a Goldwing (for the first time ever) a few minutes before and was disappointed at how cramped it felt for a big bike. Between the Vision and the Goldwing I'd choose the Vision in a heartbeat. (Besides, you don't have to look at the Vision when you're riding it!!) The Cross Country is a bike I wanted to like, but I just can't.
