he looked like he needed to be shot--they told him to stop and he ran from them and they shot him 5 times--too bad they didnt have a gun that holds more rounds.

man i thought things were bad in the us, again im glad im not over there where the cops can just shoot you in the back because you look 'suspicious'.

the whole world comes down on the us for the war on terrisom but now those cops can shoot people in the back because they suspect someone might have a bomb based on no thing. all because a few bombs blew up and here ive been reading how well the uk has been handing themselfs. guess if you shoot anyone that is suspicious then eventually youll solve the problem.

they need to shoot anyone who dont stop when ordered to anywhere --maybe get a little law and order restored and take some of the rights away from the bad guys.would it have been better to let him go and take a chance that he did have a bomb and blow up some more people trying to get to work??one thing for sure if it had happened in the states the cops that shot the scum would be in jail now for violating his civil rights.

you cant(shouldnt) shoot someone in the back because he failed to stop when asked. he may have not herd the cops ever think of that? he may have been scared of profiling(as he did Look suspicious). what happens when your on your bike riding and some cop askes you to stop, you dont hear him and keep riding next thing you know you have 5 shots in your back.

to me the most common sense would have been Run after the guy. are your cops so lazy they cant run and chase down a guy? they need to unload 5 shots in someone to stop him? guess the idea of a nice take down shot in the leg then run after him never occured either? no, lets just see a guy we feel needs shot and shoot him, sounds like martial law to me.

what would the story be if the cops shot this guy and missed killing a baby in the proccess? you have 2 dead victims because the cop decided the guy needed to be shot and killed rather than arrested?

makes the Us look decent, yes even our criminals have rights that shouldnt be violated. if a cop shoots someone who is innocent and did no thing wrong the cop Should be in jail your right.

(From the AP)

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Ian Blair said the shooting was ``directly linked'' to the investigation.

``The man who was shot was under police observation because he had emerged from a house that was itself under observation because it was linked to the investigation of yesterday's incidents,'' police said in a statement. ``He was then followed by surveillance officers to the station. His clothing and his behavior at the station added to their suspicions.''

Stockwell is just one stop away from the Oval subway station, site of one of Thursday's four failed attacks exactly two weeks after the July 7 suicide bombings killed 56 people.

``I've seen these police officers shouting, 'Get down, get down!', and I've seen this guy who appears to have a bomb belt and wires coming out,'' witness Anthony Larkin told the British Broadcasting Corp.

Another passenger on the train, Mark Whitby, said the man didn't appear to be carrying anything but that his coat looked padded.

``They pushed him onto the floor and unloaded five shots into him,'' Whitby told the BBC. ``He looked like a cornered fox. He looked petrified.''

Scared of being killed by the police but fine with the idea of blowing up innocent people........ I find it very hard to feel sorry for this guy.

I think all terrorists who are caught and convicted should be shot.... after watching thier families be tortured and killed first. And the Western Powers should focus more on identifying and catching individuals before they can commit thier cowardly crimes against humanity.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

a take down shot in the leg?run after the coward?of course why didnt i think of that?then he could spout to the press how the infidels and their decadent lifestyle made normal life impossible for him.how about a bunch of trash like us that dont even kill their females if one of them is raped?
a take down shot in the head is very appropriate for these religious zealots.

The hardest thing about all of this for me, is the terrorist mindset. You see, we can't even think the way they do. That's what makes it so hard to predict what's next. To them, getting blown up, or even shot, brings them a place of honor. This is their belief. With this belief, other human lives literally mean nothing, everything is just a means to a personal end. Tough to get my mind around this mentality of evil. This makes me very sad if I think about it too much...like right now. It seems like the rules changed with 9-11. Once they crossed that line with the quantity of death and destruction, it became a whole new game. I hate to see a guy die, but I trust our guys (British included) more than I trust terrorists, and I pray their judgement was sound. It's all I can do.
Ride safe...God bless!
