No, but I've heard great stories and nightmares. Personally I couldn't buy a vehicle without testing it out and looking at it first unless it was SUPER cheap, but then I'd be wondering why it was so cheap and pass it up anyway... haha

i bought a truck off ebay motors before, the guy was pretty up-front about the condition, etc. i also know a lot of dealerships post vehicles on ebay just for the nation-wide search function, you get a lot more web traffic when someone sees your name and logo plastered all over your ebay auction.
basically just make sure to ask any questions you have and get all the information you can before you commit to buying something. i think most people aren't trying to rip you off, but it's easy to let yourself be taken advantage of if you're not careful on ebay.

Currently waiting on a new hip before I can get a new bike.
I have bought off E Bay motors several times, mostly car parts. I once bought and paid for a bike but owner could not find title. (he refunded my money then contacted me when he found title a few months later and sold it to me for same price)
We bought our Triumph Trophy via eBay. It was a new old stock bike, had been languishing at a north Jersey dealer for two years. They decided to put in on eBay to get rid of it. We ended up being high bidder, but no one met the reserve. About an hour before the auction ended, we got an e-mail from the dealer requesting us to phone them. Bottom line: no one won the auction, but my wife ended up driving to north Jersey and buying the bike for about two thirds of original list price.
I sold my old Ninja 250 on Ebay motors. It was a smooth transaction, but the kid I sold the bike to was very good and brought the cash in hand over. He test rode the bike around my neighborhood and that was pretty much that.
He told me not to be used to this - as it usually doesn't work out that way.

We sold a car on eBay. Almost 100,000 miles, dinged, dented, scratched up...we were pretty upfront about the condition, but a kid fairly local bought it and met us at a local bank to finish the transaction. We were happy...not sure how happy he was 20,000 miles later...
I bought my '08 Ninja 650R on ebay in February of '09. It had 301 miles on the odo, and a salvaged title. The guy told me that the only damage was cosmetic. I used the "buy-it-now" option and got the bike for just under $3,800. I live in Michigan and the bike was in Kentucky, so it was a pretty big leap of faith. When I got down there I saw the guy had been honest and the damage was superficial. I replaced the damaged plastic and had the tank re-painted. I put about $400-$500 into the bike just to make it look like new again. I essentially paid about $4,300 for a brand spankin' new bike. I have since put thousands of miles on the bike worry and trouble free.
This is the only big ebay purchase I have ever made though, and could be that I just got lucky...
