I saw a similar video, though it was a drag race between a R1, a Porsche 911 (something), and a russian fighter Jet,
The R1 Dusted the other 2 off the line, but it hit its top speed and the jet comes flying by and about 20 yards ahead of the r1 lifts off, and shortly after that the porsche flies by the r1 as well.

The R1 almost got blown over by the jet passing. You could see him yelling at one of the "coordinators"
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Yup, I saw that very same video. Some of the folks in the forum (Coloradofans.com) remarked how the bike lost on the top end, but you can clearly see that once the jet passed he (the motorcyclist) had to brake to maintain control in the wicked turbulence.Sevulturus wrote:The R1 almost got blown over by the jet passing. I'm confused. Do you have a license plate on the front of your bike? Is there anyway these things can take a picture of your back end? Unless you're in a car, there shouldn't be any worries. Around here, whenever I see one of those photo radar boxes, I speed up to see how high a number I can get on the screen.BuzZz wrote:Them photo-radar traps really suck for you poor bastids, don't they. Corby pulled some entertaining manuvors the day before when we would come boppin' around some blind spot and he'd recongnize one of thier picture cars. I don't have to worry about them out here so I just followed his lead.... I was never even sure what car we were 'behaving' for.
Near as I can figure, you can be across 2 lanes of traffic, kicked sideways and sliding the rear, in dual formation right in front of these things.... as long as your not speeding when you do it. I hope so anyway, we did it a few times, but I haven't got anything in the mail yet.![]()

The camera points in the direction we are heading. It measures our speed as we pass and takes a picture of us AFTER we pass. This gets a lovely shot of the back of our heads and our license plates.
