First of all I own a 2005 V-Star classic, after many months of trying other bikes out , reading reviews and so on. I picked that bike because it was perfect for me, and not trying to impress the guy down the street. Now my buudy of mine was was dead set on getting a Harley like many people are and theres nothing wrong with that, they have been around for a long time they must be doing something right.Anyways my buddy purchased 2005 sporster, and too me I dont care for them. We both swaped bikes for a quick jaunt, I liked mine much better of course, and he would like his much better than mine right WRONG. He admitted to me that mine was a better ride, easy to handle wow was I shocked,he admitted it so I asked why he purchased it insted of looking at other bikes, his answer was I LEAST I CAN SAY I OWN A HARLEY.now I ask myself how more people our like my buddy. I am not a follower I am my own indivdual like me for who I am not what I have

I used to think Harleys were the best looking bikes out there. Then the japanese's got smart, and built better looking more powerful bikes. And less goes wrong with them. I like the V Star line myself, very comfortable and power to boot.
I gave up on the Harleys in the late 90's.
Next year I will get me a V Star.

Okay I don't get it. What's this Harley Vs. everyone else stuff?I've just had a revelation: If you hang around an all-inclusive motorcycle forum long enough, you will lose count of the number of "Harley Vs. everyone else" threads You've read!

It just means everyone and their dog seems to feel the need to compare a H-D to another bike. Whether it be"My H-D is better than your bike" or "My _____ is way better than a harley".Beer Runner wrote:Okay I don't get it. Waste of time if you ask me. Just ride whatever you want and let everyone else do the same.
