Yamaha Virago as first bike =)

Thinking of buying a Yamaha virago 250 1995 as my first bike and wanted to ask before i go and look at it if its gonna fit me?
i mean im a 6'2 feet tall.. im pretty tall and i wanted to ask your opinion.
and what do you think about it as a first bike.

yer its 250' to start off with something light but i think this bike is worth getting.

I think it would make a fine first bike, and the only way you're going to get some idea of how it fits you is to sit on as many bikes as you can including the Virago and compare the ergos, the feel, etc. at least as much as you can by just sitting on it, but you'll still get a pretty good idea. There's a few other bikes you an consider too if the Virago proves too small, if you stay in the cruiser line you can consider bikes up to 750cc.

My suggestion is to take a course, MSF if you're in the U.S., and get a feel for what the bikes feel like, get some foundational skills, and then go from there.

Did you ever get the Virago? It would be a great first bike but might be a bit low for your long legs...
