Congrats on the buy!!! Got an '06 SV650S and it's an awesome and very reliable ride! When i bought mine it had heli-bars on it raising it up 1 1/2 inches up from the original height, can do lots of miles and feel nothing.

You have the S though. I think the OP bought the naked one.

From what I have read helibars are a pain to install for someone who ain't too manual... I got a brand new 09 sv650s and I thought I was tough... Now, not so much. :P After 2 hours, it's getting harder on the back.... But I have only 2000km on it so I guess it'll get better with time... Or I'll spend money on it :D
