Hi to everyone I am new to the forum but not new to riding. I have been riding motorcycles for about 30 years now. For the last 8 years I have been riding a Yamaha Vmax. I have been scanning this forum for several weeks now and haven't seen any other Vmax riders on here. Now that I look back I am lucky that I didn't get in any trouble on it because Vmaxes are very fast bikes and what dose one do on a fast bike but go fast. Its not that I drove everywhere at 100 mph (only because the wife wouldn't let me) I was more into the fast take offs. Like not letting the cage or bike sitting at the. Red light beside take off faster than me. Anyway I am trying to get out of that habit so I bought a smaller bike an 02 Suzuki Intruder 800 and realized what I have been missing. Now I have a bike that can turn and handle curves at both fast and slow speeds. Its not the fastest bike in town but its a lot safer. I could keep writing but I will go for now and write more posts later as I have some questions about the Suzuki and I want to share some past experiences with you all
By the way I live in Albany Georgia

Re: New to the forum
welcome to the forums. i don't know how many v-max riders (current or former) we have on the boards, but i know the Intruder 800 has been ridden by at least a few of the more vocal board members.
