which to try first?

#1 Unread post by maximnewb »

There's a few things wrong with my bike...and I'd like to tackle the jobs from easiest to hardest (to ease the process of getting my feet wet with bike repair)

Should I rebuild carbs first, or change the fork seals? First time doing both on a motorcycle :o but I've done performace mountain bike forks before.

Thanks.

I've done both - if you are going to do both anyway, I don't see that it matters very much which you do first.

I'd like to try the easier of the two tasks first, and then depending how that one goes try the other.

So any opinions as to which was/is easier for you?

If it were me , I would rebuild the carbs first . Since that seems like the easist to me . Besides which at that point you can at least get it running and see what else you may be needing to do .
Just my 2¢ worth.
