Oh, bugger!! I knew you were somewhere near by. It was a very impromptu rideout (my friend works midnights, and didn't even know when or where we were going until the last minute). Next time I'm out that way, I'll definitely give you a head's up!

Cheers,
Loonette
hehe ok I lied. you were actually about 2 hours from me. Otsego is on the other side of the state bout 30 minutes south of Grand Rapids.
That's funny... I looked it up afterwards, and thought, "that boy has lost his mind!". But ya know, we could have met half-way.

Not sure we are going to find a tech that is out of a job needing one willing to come down to this rate of pay but if you guys know of anyone have them put my name on the app :D. Ill split the $200 I get for them staying on the job 90 days. PM me for my name... There is a 60 cent shift premium for this position as well.

also in the next month to 2 years we will be looking for numerous electricians and mechanics (most likely looking for dual trade but taking electricians expecting them to go dual trade) for these positions. We have about 10 guys retiring here soon. 1 this month and a few in June next year and then a few the year after.

Wow... you guys might have the only job opening in Michigan right now! I wish I were a Journeyman Boiler Tech - I'd come back to Michigan in a heartbeat if a good job were waiting for me (or for my husband).

we havent had our job posting board empty in the almost 10 years I have worked for this company. That includes during the recession. We have been asking for a 3rd shift boiler tech for well as long as I can remember. Problem is we have 3 guys willing to go through the apprenticeship to be a boiler tech and well my company doesnt want to spend the time to have them go through it since its a 5 yr apprenticeship instead of a 4. we are also looking for a dual trade electrician right now as well but currently there are like 400 applications they are going through (doesnt mean they wont accept more).

Stayed under cover today... Light rain on and off and chilly, thank goodness the forecast is for warmer weather.

People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

No, it's a picture I scanned, then photoshoped. I was going to try to use it in my signature, but the signature's don't work anymore.

went back to work today. Was harder than I thought it would be. Got very little actual work done with all the interruptions, but it was nice to be welcomed back by ppl. Of course, the worst part of it all was the frequency with which ppl asked "you're all done with the motorcycle nonsense right?"

sigh.

still recovering - back to crutches, then walking with a stick, then running - then hopefully riding again!

We got a dog today! Beautiful brindle colored boxer. She was literally dropped off by some lady at a local Sonic that our neighbor's son works at. He caught her and offered her to us since we've been looking for a dog lately.
