tire selection?

tire selection?
I've got a 08' FXD super glide with a Burly brand Slammer kit.......original size rear tire is a 160/70/r17.....i would like to put a 170/60 on it......does anyone have any advice.....the 10mm difference is what concerns me, having the lowering kit on the bike....just wantn' some info before i purchase a tire.......

The first thing you got to ask yourself is do I have an extra 5mm of space.
