yes it is ... The event is for unfortunate children who do not have a positive male influence in their lives. We are a non-profit organization and if anyone would like me to fax or email them a packet about this event i would be more than happy to. Thanks!!

This posting has very high "scam" potential: very little information considering current technology; yahoo email acct; private contact via telephone/faxback; direct request for cash; appeals to a "good cause", etc. a collect phone # etc.

It may in fact be purely legit, but there are lots of important details missing, which is too bad considering that it could be a worthwhile event, but if it's being organized this sketchy, and they are expecting 10K + people, celebrities, etc. it makes one wonder if it will have enough info to get off, etc.

Really, a proper domain name, a web-site with business name, a toll-free # and many other details are important to make it easy for people to get information and make decisions on an even like this. It's almost shooting yourself in the foot not tp provide full details via the internet, yet to appeal to people via the internet.

I agree Monkey. It feels scammy. No disrespect intended to the poster if it's legit. Just a marketing tip I suppose - if you're getting this much suspicion this soon you're doing something wrong.

hahahaha Like i said i would be glad to send out fliers. I didn't want to write a HUGE article for something like this because i didn't know what kind of feedback i would get for this forum. I have packets that i can hand out and i will answer any information that someone might need help with.And... when i send out the fliers they dont come back to me all that I ask is for my name to be on it because we get incentives for how many people we bring in. The application gets mailed to the C.O.A.F organization.
IF SOMEONE WANTS A FLIER THEN ASK IT WOULD BE MY PLEASURE!
