Hi all,
My name's Dave from Maryland, USA. I'm 22 and just completed a biker's edge intro course through HD. I am looking for my first bike but I'm currently borrowing a friend's old Honda Rebel in the meantime.
My budget is pretty low (from the $500 to $1500) but I'm not looking for anything too fancy right now; just something that runs and is enjoyable to cruise around on. I typically like cruisers and cafe racers, but I'm not opposed to owning a sports bike. Does anyone have any suggestions for a year/make/model I should keep an eye out for?

Welcome to the boards!
There's no doubt about it - shopping for a bike is one of the best bits!
there are so many to choose from, have a read through the boards there's loads of info on here, but in the meantime if you like Cafe racer style, take a look at the Yamaha SRX400 - cracking little machine!

Don't give up.
