Since the board was changed over a little while ago, the PMs have been reduced to the speed of a straight 40 weight being poured in -40 temp. I can see the drastic difference between my home computer(4G RAM), work computer(2G RAM), and another(1G RAM). The board change seems to have slowed down the entire forum speed as well. Is this the reason why we seem to have lost so many regular posters in the last few months? :(

I hit the report post button on a couple, though I don't know who it reports to.

I'm sorry to say, since the board change a few months ago, the forum speed has slowed down drastically. The PM system is insane and it requires a minimum of 4Gigs or RAM to even operate properly. The rest of the forum has slowed down drastically as well.

We're trying to keep on top of the situation, but sometimes there's more spammers than there are Mods. I personally have nuked a truckload of the evil little bastids this past few weeks, but more keep popping up every day to take their place. And I have to mention here that I wouldn't have been aware of most of them were it not for the tireless efforts of our own Johnj; he has a nose for sniffing them out and many of my "kills" have come about from his "spotting".

Good on ya, Johnny!
