ugh this year sucks. I finally got my savings upto a months worth and now EVERYTHING is breaking down on my. Just spent $2300 on my van (thats with my free labor since I did all the work) to fix parts that quit working, spent another $120 on my furnace because thats the cost of the board I had to replace (again my own labor), and now my garage door opener the drive gear is gone. Of course the cause of the gear getting ate up is because my wife backed into the garage door (yes she never opened the garage door before trying to back out) 4 years ago. caused it to crack and the constant open and closing has caused it to crack to a point that the opener cant handle the stress so it ate up the gear. So now I have to pay $3.25 for a new gear (no biggie) but to replace the 2 panels is gonna cost me $300. Ugh its like everytime I get any money saved something happens that takes it all. So either way I am now back down to barely having $1000 in my savings account and no longer have a months worth of savings....

sorry for the rant its just after my wife lost her job we have been playing catch up and its really disheartening to have all these things start to go when we have finally started to see the light at the end of the tunnel.... Plus on top of that instead of getting to spend the weekends I dont work at work relaxing with my family I have been spending them fixing things that are broke etc etc.

Sounds like life. We're all in the same boat. :)

yeah sorry I am better today other than I found out I have to replace the complete door because the door is almost 20 years old and is no longer made. I should say at least this stuff happened when I got money saved up instead of doing it when I was stupid and had no money saved lol.

Mowed the lawn yesterday, today it's a set of soft flannel sheets and a cushy pillow, I'm bagged after a heavy night of movin' the mail...

I HATE FLEAS.

Kids let a stray cat into the house and I did not find out until a couple hours after the fact. Now my Siamese cat and my miniature poodle have fleas up the wazzoo. Just spent $80 on meds and house spray for this. I hate stray cats....

Felt like I owed some drivers a seat cleaning...
Was taking a left at a corner I usually hit at 30 or so, but it was wet so I hit it at 20. Apparently it was just wet enough to float the oils up, because my truck's light rear end decided to make a break for freedom as I rounded the corner and I guarantee half of the cars in the left turn lane saw that I was headed down the road sideways towards them. Fortunately I've done the same thing on purpose in safe environments so I knew just how to handle it, no problems, just kept on going down the road, but yeah.... haha
