Hey wow, I remember passing by there after getting separated from I-93 on my way to Team O' Neil Rally School in northern NH. Some nice roads in that area save for some sandy spots when rounding a corner.

That's neat with the google search! I couldn't find you on ebay with that name.

The 09 Ducati M1100. Decided against it because it's more than I wanted to spend on a bike right now and I just can't get over that metal band across the headlight. Ended up buying an 07 Monster from a private seller in Phoenix.Bikernate wrote:Which one are you looking at?jaskc78 wrote:i actually just called there today about a Ducati on ebay that i've been watching. it sounded very much like a real business, at least.

National Powersports Direct is very real. I bought a bike from them in February and had a great experience. I wouldn't hesitate to buying from them again. I actually stopped in a couple times before I was ready to buy, told the guys I was wasn't going to buy for months, and they still spend more time with me than I could have expected.
Now that they sell Royal Enfield I plan to stop in the next time I'm in the area just to sit on a Bullet C5.

Just FYI, revisiting the DDM Tuning subject, their HIDs are awesome. I have a 55W in my V-Rod. Lights up the road like day.
And even better, it's an easy install.

Time to start another thread so that you can post some pics?

Does yours have a hi/ lo beam or something because I only have 1 bulb and not sure if their HID kits can do hi/ lo on one bulb.
I saw all those wires in a reference pic and on an old bike like mine I'm not sure how easy of an install it can be. Did you do it yourself?

Re: Facebook and National Powersports Distributors
Greetings to all from BC, Canada. I just bought a 08 Kawasaki from National Powersports, after doing a fairly lengthy check on them, and they seem pretty real to me. Will get back to you when the bike arrives. Cheers!
The bike (2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Mean Streak) arrived in Powell River, BC, Canada on December 16, 2010. The service from National Powersports Distributors was impecable; from the initial emails and telephone conversations with Nate and his staff, right down the line to the broker and transport companies - all arrranged by Nate and the gang at NPD. Every part of the transaction, right up to the bike being parked in my garage was flawless. Bike checked at the local shop like new. Thank guys for a job well done.

Re: Facebook and National Powersports Distributors
JC, I did an HID install on my truck and the only thing I worry about with putting it on a bike is finding somewhere to mount the ballast. The kit I used was no kidding a straight-up plug and play type. I plugged the ballast into the pigtail that went to the old light, then hooked up the HID. They can tell which bulbs to send you so that the HIDs will fit right into the old bulb retaining holes. The ballast for the lights in my truck is about 2" by 3" and came with some zip ties to mount it.
As for the wires, it's just a matter of a few zip ties or shrink-wrapping them to keep a nice clean look.
