My wifes aunt called me today and informed me that someone they know is going to organize a charity ride in memory of Julie and all the money is going to be given to me to help pay funeral expenses. That came completely out of left field to say the least. Im just shocked to be honest. Very cool stuff, it is a good feeling knowing that communities still know how to act like a community. I don't know what else to say about it. Just wow.
Don't know any details yet but they are going for some time next month.

It is often said that because death is a certainty, it is the mark we leave on people that measures our lives. Julie must have left a mark in peoples lives and you should be very proud.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now

She did and I am proud. She was a inspiration to a lot of people for more then one reason. When she was born and they figured out what her condition was they said she wouldn't live to five years old. After close to thirty one years she far exceeded any doctors expectations. Not only did she live long she lived well. She was never idle or unproductive. She made jewelry constantly and was good at it too. She was always creating something or painting something. She had strong opinions on everything and you could NOT make her waver in her beliefs. You did NOT mess with her child either. She wrote so many notes to Harley's teachers about anything she didn't like or think was fair to him. She just didn't take any "poo poo" from anyone. So many more things to say about her. I could go on.sapaul wrote:It is often said that because death is a certainty, it is the mark we leave on people that measures our lives. But yes she left a mark in a lot of peoples lives. She was special. Inspirational.

Re: Got some unexpected news today
I admire people that live full lives. Nothing wrong in planning for a future but living in the now is fulfilling. Sounds to me she filled others lives too.
Hope you and Harley are holding out OK.
