How do you all go about washing/polishing/waxing your bikes? What products do you like to use? What type of cloths are best to use on the paint finsih, chrome, etc.

I use Dri Wash'N'Guard for the paint, chrome, and glass and Formula 2001 for the leather and vinyl.

i use the armor all gel system. i hate waxxing my car with normal wax. cant imagine trying to wax the bike with all the tight spots and curves. this junk you just put some on a towel and then dry the bike to wax it. looks great afterwards and is cheap/easy/fast.

Everyone has different products that they like to use . As far as polishing cloths go , my preference has always been cloth baby diapers .

Micro Fibre cloths are great for washing and or polishing. They are soft and lint free.

I use Spectro Spray and Wax Polish. It works well for quickly cleaning the bike. I never really clean the whole thing totally honestly, due to riding in rain all the time. It's pretty much a waste of time.

Palmolive Soap, hose water, turtle wax, and old beer shirts turned inside out. I have pig snot cloths for waxing, guaranteed not to fray or drop lint... but I don't totally believe them.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

It's available through distributors and on the internet. Here's a LINK to the site where I buy mine. I have used it on every car and bike I have owned since learning about it four years ago. It looks pricey, but what you get goes a long way, and it's the best stuff I have ever used. It melts away bugs, tar, and sap...polishes glass and works better than Rain-X, cleans chrome, and washes/waxes paint with a UV-inhibitive polymer...all without getting a drop of water on your bike.
