Mine did. On both my VFR and VTR. If you plan on keeping the bike you might as well buy the new rectifier now and save yourself from becoming stranded.

High side - do you remember how many miles you had on your firestorm before you got rid of it? I have 21k on mine and it's running great but the stock honda cam chain tensioners will go out eventually. I don't hear any rattling at low/mid rpm but there is a clicking/quiet rattle at idle after getting warmed up. It's too bad though having to replace two CCTs for the twin vtr when they cost over $100USD each :cry:

My VTR had what I thought was CCTs rattling from new. I had the bike torn down twice before they discovered a bad retainer spring somewhere in the primary drive that I can't recall the specifics about. Following that I put loud cans on it and the rattling noise mysteriously went away :laughing:
I never did have any issues with them after that and I believe that I had 50 some- thousand Ks on it when I sold it.
