how's your dealer treat you?
so, i bought my first harley (used 07 1200 custom sportster). salesman was eager but not pushy, though i had to reign him
in a few times from his assumption i was looking/buying all in one day.
here's the rub, i live 30 miles from that dealer and have placed 2 "special" orders with them that they have now screwed up twice. i am persona non grata to my salesman and the typical response i get is "we'll order it again" come back again" and "hmmmm". i will take my business elsewhere but, im primarily concerned about my 5k inspection which is less than 500miles away and how this will be handled. heres hoping you all fare better than i.

My dealer, Gail's HD in Belton has met all my expectations so far. When the Buell was down they loaned me a Heritage to ride.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I've been blessed with having excellent Harley dealers wherever I've lived. I've heard stories about other places, though.

Re: how's your dealer treat you?
bike has been in the shop since april 5th...sheared exhaust stud inside cylinder head. sigh...getting run around from sales, service, extended warranty people, different story every time i make contact. very frustrated,sad....as B.B.King put it..."the thrill is gone..." regret ever buying from harley davidson. my fault for not doing homework i suppose. bikes been sitting on a lift longer than i owned it. nothing like paying good money to get sh@t upon. forgive my rant, im just amazed at how poorly customers are treated.

Don't have much to do with HD dealers, but my local Triumph dealership is fine, ..........................as long as you are spending money!!

Hyperr, Come buy something at Tucson HD, maybe we'll get a new dealership here. Heard nothing but horror stories about those guys--almost as bad as the local Victory Dealership, and I went 100 miles to the next dealership to buy my bike and for every service.

A Honda dealer, two separate BMW dealers, Yamaha dealer, Kawasaki dealer, and a Ducati dealer that I have each bought a bike from, have all gone out of business.
