Hi from Northern Alberta
Hi there from the northern part of Alberta.
At the persistence of two of my boys, who now think I have the time, I am looking forward to getting back in the saddle again.. Things have just changed toooo much since I did any amount of riding. So it leads me to wonder what kind of bike is right for me.. I know everybody's bike is the best otherwise they wouldn't be on it ... right ?? My one son rides a Honda, the other a Harley and both like what they have... I'm looking for a bagger around the 1300cc range. From what I hear, it's hard to find a BAD NEW bike out there, HOWEVER, there must be things that maybe you've heard of or found out the hard way yourself about different makes and models... Some advise in these areas would really be appreciated until I can find myself around this forum.... It looks to be a good one. Cheers for now and hope to be back soon.... doug...

Welcome Doug ! Your absolutely right that we all think we have the best bikes! I ride a Harley vrod and a yamaha vmax and in my mind they are perfect! I suggest you test ride and research what you like. I can tell you that the vmax is the bike for you but it might be too much bike for you or the vrod is the coolest bike around but you might like an air cooled engine. So what type bikes do you like?
Life may begin at 30 but it gets real interesting at 140!

Hi Doug and
to the TMW motorcycle community!
Edmonton is the highest I've been up in Alberta (ya, kinda sad there), beautiful around Jasper though.
If you are looking for a 1300cc bagger, have you checked out a 2009 Honda VTX1300 (3 different models)? http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2 ... -Honda.htm
The Yamaha V-Star 1300 is pretty nice too: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2 ... Yamaha.htm

Hi and Welcome
Unfortunately I have never ridden a 1300cc bagger, but my friend rode the Honda VTX1300 and loved it, he actually liked it much more than the 1800.
