Are they riders?
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Well actually, yes.

"Prince William rode his Ducati 1198S Corse home from football training last night, the Sun reports
William's 1189S Corse superseded an earlier 1098R Bayliss rep which the Prince insisted be fitted with a full Termignoni system."

Hey, that's great Prince William rides a Ducati 1198S Corse!

Maybe the explains why London is so motorcycle friendly! (Did you know there are tonnes of FREE places to park a bike in the city? Plus no congestion charges either!)

I agree Prince William has definately missed a pro British opportunity by riding a Ducati & he should be seen on a TRIUMPH. :uk:
He should also drink malt whisky & eat yorkshire pudding whilst morris dancing! :sitbackandwatch:

Failing that maybe as serviceman he should be allowed the bike of his choice & Ducati's are popular in the young officer world.

Re extravagance - personally I would rather have a monarch than the country waste so much money & effort to "elect" a president with all the sleaze & corruption that can bring.

When Wills & Harry went down The Mall on way to wedding they had ONE motorcycle outrider + ONE following protection car! Can you imagine how many flunkeys would have been running round the car if that had been eg a US VIP?

Re free parking- maybe TMF could run an article about Westminster city council & their introduction of charges (+ report fight against)? Just a thought.

All in all I think the hype over the wedding probably has done the UK good - as long as we keep it it perspective. :uk:

The roar of her mighty TRIUMPH was heard throughout the land

Total Motorcycle is on the press/media list for Ace Cafe London so I do post all their releases and the Ace Cafe had a lot of protest rides last year on just that into London. I'm sure another will be coming up soon again. :D

To those who mentioned that he should be riding a Triumph, er, isn't this a Daytona?

That said, I've seen pics of him on the 1198 as well.

It would be great if he would ride British (how about a Norton? Mmmmm :D ), but in the broader sense, I think it's more important that he's on two wheels of any sort; scooter, motorcycles, of whatever brand. Anything that improves public (and maybe government) perception of bikes and bikers is good for the rest of us.

"Royalty" has no place in modern civilization. That stupid wedding cost the taxpayers $80 million bucks. At least you should have gotten 3D glasses.

I read this today. St. George's Cross knee sliders are a nice touch.
