Oh yeah, put a couple of parcels in the mail, been a bit busy and/or sore to get it done earlier... With that said, they're finally on their way.

Day 2 of big tidy up in the house. As recycling bin already full I decided to have a bonfire. :flame:
Big mistake........the wind picked up, I am now filthy & the garden is covered in ash!

Fella just came home & said "why don't you use next door's bin"!

Found the OEM power converter in my wifes Saturn. Ordered a new one cause well I am honestly too lazy to start modifying a brand new vehicle to fit in a store bought one. She plugged in the hair dryer thinking it would work. Hello its a 150w power converter that your trying to run an 1800 watt blow dryer. Yeah of course its gonna blow it up. So after that gets here I am trying to decide if I want to buy a 2000W power converter or not. Problem is deciding on where to put it that makes it both functional yet not ugly.

I spent the better part of the day cleaning and waxing the nighthawk and the fzr. I polished up the exhaust pretty good. Now my new baby doesn't look like its been kept in a barn for 20 yrs. I Washed the CBR but i still have the real work ahead of me, cleaning wheels and the detail work. I think its gonna take me longer to do the shadow than all the others combined. chrome :frusty:

Today I took all my used oil and antifreeze to the trash collections site that recycles it. Since it was raining here i spent part of the day cleaning up in my garage. There is a tendency to lay whatever tools were used on any horizontal surface you can get to since the tool box us at the back of the heap, so it piles up in there quickly with my nephew working on getting his car ready for inspection. Its supposed to rain till next Thursday here. Its ok though I have parts showing up next week to finish the fzr up and put a new Barnett clutch in the CBR. I guess I will have to move everything outside and cover it up so I can work inside. Ill get some pics of the fzr once the last parts are on it.

sounds like yuz peoples are in a real Spring Cleaning mood...

man... my spring cleaning, spring maintenence, spring chores are really falling behind.
I've been spending too much time getting into a work groove and letting my goals slip...

Today I did minimal chores, put a few hours of work in and then went for a decent mountain-bike ride... I even had a fun crash at the end of the ride to remind me how important it is to maintain focus for every inch of the ride. Actually it is more of an example of how quickly terrain can change off-road. It was an awesome front end slide over some silt on a really hard-packed section of trail... i slid about 10 feet coming just after a nice downhill section and tucked the front. That's what's tough on mountain bike vs. motocrosser, you can't add power and slide the rear if the front is going to hit some sketchy terrain.

It was pretty bizarre because usually the terrain is not so slippery that you'd keep sliding (unless in the wet)... but this stuff was hard and smooth like concrete and with cycling gear on (that is bare knees and no padding in the long sleeve cycling jersey on my elbow) you usually do not come off looking pretty, but I am amazed to have only burn welts on my knee and elbow. heee heeee... a fun reminder of how it's great fun finding the limits. That's one of the best parts of riding for me...

It was one of the most gentle crashes ever... more like a roadracing low-side. Anyway Ive come across this really silty rock when out hiking and finding interesting rock faces to climb on too, but never had trouble with it on the bicycle before. I was just having too much fun on that downhill and then carrying too much speed across this stuff. No biggie. I'll see if my knee is up for a ride tomorrow. It looks to be a rainy day, so more fun and some raindrops to keep me cooler. My knee feels pretty damn good right now, after cleaning it up a little bit. Well now that I look at it again, I s'ppose it's a little worse than just a welt, but not too much blood. All good.
