We went out for a "mother's day" dinner. We started the trend of doing this on the following Sunday as the crowd on actual mother's day is insane.

Bought a couple of chickens. Gonna go get a few more tomorrow after I get me new motorscooters. Ate a nice T bone for dinner. Thank you dad. Watched Harley play Red Steel 2 all day. Wanted to take a nap but Harley wouldn't let me. All in all it's been a nice day.

Went out for a nice ride this afternoon after doing our grocery shopping with the gf and her two little hellions...don't know what their deal is lately but I'm ready to start beating them into submission. Rode into town to meet up with my buddy, then muddled our way through traffic to make a run up Mt Lemmon. Sat at chatted about family life for a bit at one of the scenic overlook areas then headed back down. Made it home just in time for dinner with 105 miles covered.

Was also reminded that I don't ride nearly as much as I used to. My back was bothering me quite a bit after only those 105 miles, and I didn't even cover those nonstop. Used to ride 200 miles in a day so regularly it didn't even bother me at all, stand up while pumping gas for a few minutes was all the time I needed off the seat to stay nice and comfortable. The gf says it's the price I pay for getting old, I told her it's the price I pay for putting up with a battleaxe of a gf that won't let me ride anymore. :D

That sounds about as ideal of a birthday dinner as you could get. :kicking:
I agree!!

Today I watched someone else change the oil on my bike (I helped a little!) and learned how to do it all myself. Also learned a few other things, set up a list of things to-buy and to-do.... gonna be a long week while I wait for my orders of to-buy stuff get here, then work on the to-do tasks. :frusty:

Gonna have to try a ribeye for your next steak, I don't think there's a much better cut for BBQing...

PS: A Happy belated to both you and ceemes...
