Yeah, the 350 just had everything right. Yamaha hit the nail on the head with that one.

Re: Awww snap!
She ran!!! I rigged up an auxillery gas tank since the tank is still not done and she ran the bottle empty.
Started up with 8 or 9 kicks, idled and revved very nicely. Blew the baffles half way out.
Im gonna have to find some screws to keep them in. Or safety wire em.
Gotta big dumb grin that I can't wipe off.

Way to go! It's a great feeling isn't it.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Make sure the auto lube pump is working properly.

Re: Awww snap!
She's getting there.

Auto lube does work. Premixed the gas to check it just in case, so I'll be running extra rich for a little while. The new petcock is installed with no leaks. adjusted auto lube cable. lubed all the cables and chain. Pumped of the tires and the tubes hold air but the tires need replacing. they'll get me around the block while im dialing it in though. Speaking of which, I'm having an issue. (I knew it was going too good) It feels and sounds like the left cylinder is cutting out and back on when I get up in the revs a little. It's a little scary in first and second gear as it will bog and then surge.
Not sure what is going on yet.

Re: Awww snap!
Wow the bike looks to be in remarkably good condtion! The paint looks like it will shine again with a little buffing.
Also it's possible that the plug might have gotten fouled from the double dosage of oil.

Pull the plugs and compare the two, that should offer you some clues.fireguzzi wrote:Speaking of which, I'm having an issue. Re: Awww snap!
I'll check the plugs in the morning. I'm also wondering about the coil. I might take one off the parts bike and see if that helps.

Re: Awww snap!
Try swapping the coils on the bike. If the problem switches sides then replace.
