At the age of 24, she rode around the world in the early 80s (and has done it several times since then), riding for over three years and 48,000 miles.

Wow, at a time when women couldn't even vote... here's one on a motorcycle! That's pretty incredible.

So what the heck is a "Douglas" brand???

Douglas was a British motorcycle manufacturer from 1907–1957 based in Kingswood, Bristol, owned by the Douglas family, and especially known for its horizontally opposed twin cylinder engined bikes and as manufacturers of speedway machines. The company also built a range of cars between 1913 and 1922.

This is a great photo! I don't know who she is (Krista Marie - recording artist), but it's a great shot of her on a Harley-Davidson. Very conservative photo for a gorgeous female on a bike!
