Nothing like a hug to bridge a gap in time. Happy for you.

Well today I donned a suit and scraped my hair back for a professional resume mug shot. Applying for 4 different jobs atm, same kind of work just trying to relocate, hope I can at least get an interview this time. Hopefully a few, wow imagine having a choice...but that is very unlikely :|

Today I received and started to install my backrest/ cargo rack for my Nighthawk. This thing was so contorted and improperly welded together I would up making a jig out of angle iron. Next I used my 2ton bottle jack to re-bend the trouble areas. Drilled the holes out to the right size and its now installed. When I went to put the seat back on after install seat wouldnt go on due to the front bar of the cargo rack interfering with the seat. A ratchet strap and a little creativity "contoured" the bar to the shape of the seat so it fits fine now. All in all a lot of headache and reinventing the wheel here do to poor manufacturing. It is on there. It looks right. Its is solid. I WON. I hope my removable windshield and engine gaurds go better when they get here.

I spent about 6 hours researching what happened to all the data in one table in one of our main databases. I'm still not entirely convinced I found the cause, but we were able to determine when it happened and recover most of it (the rest will be tomorrow when we roll forward transactions and analyze that last couple hours to pinpoint the exact moment in time when the deletions started). We also had lots of little fires burning throughout the day. SO glad this one's over.

My stepdaughter got the Sporty registered and plated today, so I took it on a more extended ride. It's kinda cool, I guess, to have a bike that will chug along in top gear at 40 mph. Only a 4-speed box on Sportys of that vintage. Chuggada chuggada chuggada chuggada chuggada.....

Although she has her endorsement, she's not ridden since she came to live with us in March 2010, and she's nervous and rusty. The gent who runs the local RAT pack is also a MSF instructor, and he's going to give her some private coaching. I arranged tonight to rent a XT225 (small Yamaha dualsport) from the local dealership for her first few lessons, then he'll transition her to the Sporty. Her coaching starts this Monday (it's her day off), I'll post up more news then.

Got to ride a 92 Goldwing 1500 trike that I did a radiator flush on for the owner... Weird to ride for sure, the vehicle felt less stable than the Can-Am Spyder I rode, but I felt more secure on it for some reason.

Today I finished tuning up my 99 Connie by syncing the carbs and putting the fairing back on.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I should send my 87 your way so you can work your magic on her.
