i bought both perf leather and the next summer a mesh - the mesh is a heavy duty nylon with kevlar at stress points.

in general, the perf leather is FANTASTIC - even at 10 mph it keeps me cool while im moving. traffic lights can be sweaty though, and if you have a windshield, it blocks some of the air flow. :)

i went down in my mesh - and it held up great - the armor did its work, and no damage other than bruising to shoulder and elbow at impact points. No road rash at all - and the jacket is still completely usable.

I think perforated leather is my favorite mix of everything - even though it can get hot at intersections.

glad you found the site! :)
still recovering - back to crutches, then walking with a stick, then running - then hopefully riding again!
