Advice regarding a bike

#1 Unread post by chimpo »

I was browsing bikes on eBay and I found a 2001 Ninja 250 with 1950 miles selling for $2000 'buy it now'. I was wondering if this is firstly, a good starter bike as the seller says it is and secondly, if 2000 is a good price for the bike.
PS the current price for the bike in regular bidding is 1450..(good price?)

That's a decent price if the bike is in good shape with those many miles. Also a good starter for the sport-bike inclined. Would let you get your feet wet without taking an absolute bath on the insurance too.

Check it out in person first.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
