Other than being illegal, it's a low-risk novelty. I've seen them at car shows many times. They even used to hold flame-throwing contests for length and duration.iwannadie wrote:is there a huge risk of exloposions with something like that?

All you need is a spark plug and wires and switch. Hook the spark plug up to the battery via wires and install a push switch (kinda that disconnects when you take your finger off). I've seen a picture of a cavalier that had it's rear bumper set on fire, so there is some danger to this. Duh, it's FIRE!

And don't forget the magic wand that renders a coil unnecessary. After all, I don't think the laws of physics apply when you're trying to look cool.GeoffXR200R wrote:All you need is a spark plug and wires and switch. I think that explains why civic drivers have park bench spoilers maybe? They add to it's front wheel traction.... with magic.ZooTech wrote:And don't forget the magic wand that renders a coil unnecessary. I don't know if we are thinking the same here , but if we are , I had a set of those on my Triumph when they first came out and they robbed some of the spark . Had to quit using them as I recall .ZooTech wrote:Or some of those kick-arse light-up spark plug wires! I have two on each side (plug wires that is), so that'd look sweet from either side!
Course that was a definite while ago .

The ones I've researched guarantee no loss of power. However, since my bike has four plug wires it would cost between $300 and $600 to do, depending on the design and color, so I don't think it's gonna happen!Wizzard wrote: I don't know if we are thinking the same here , but if we are , I had a set of those on my Triumph when they first came out and they robbed some of the spark .
