Kawasaki 800 Drifter Opinions

#1 Unread post by BrymanFl »

Does anyone have any opinons on this Bike. It will be my first bike that I have owned. I found a good deal on a 2001 and it looks Brand New with 3,000 miles on it. Owner has good records of it. Also comes with extended warranty. I had been looking at purchasing a new Yamaha 1100 or a Honda 1100. Any thoughts?

Go for it! I had a '99 Drifter 1500 and it was a great bike. I formed a club for Drifters up here in Ontario when I had mine, it's still active and there are many happy members with 800's from all over Canada and the US. You can check out their website here: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/vdogon/

The first and oldest Drifter club is VDOG and is based in the US, you can view their site here: http://www.vdog.org/

That's a great looking bike! I considered getting one myself, but I'm too much of a peg scraper at this chapter in my life so it'll have to wait!

Da old Wizz says GO FOR IT ! My spousette and I both fell in love with an 800 Drifter , but she already had her Maurader , I was waiting on back surgery , and she was going thru her cancer ordeals . If it were all happening now we would have an additional bike out here to fight over.........
