The funny thing with the Ducati riders is that they will go out of the way to make this racket loud as possible.

but the DL1000 engine sounds good
Marvin, it's not the engine, it's the clutch. If the bike is in neutral and the clutch is out, it sounds like there's something broken in there........ or like a Ducati, take yer pick!!

The DL1000 engine is kind of thumpy at idle, but doesn't drown out the sound of that rattly clutch. It'd probably sound sweet with a pair of Staintunes on it, but I left mine stock.

Dl650 shares components with the sv but it's not the same motor. Wish mine rattled, it's so embarrassing how smooth and quiet the motor can be. My Harley friends say it sounds like a vacuum.

Apparently if you follow this set up it will sound just like a Ducati. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KooABbX0 ... re=feedlik
