I cooked a turkey and took it to my sister's for the family Thanksgiving dinner.

Re: What did you do today...
I have a terrible rate of falling asleep in meetings so the 3 evenings of classroom time (from 7-10pm after working from 8-4:30) should be an interesting challenge. It's become so common an occurance that my coworkers notice if I stay AWAKE!ofblong wrote:Islesfan91 wrote:continually refreshed and scoured every motorcycle forum and topic I could find while impatiently waiting for my msf course to start tomorrow. Just got back from hunting. Elk. No luck unfortunately. But the area was so dead it was unreal. This area is usually really productive, but even the guides (who grew up in the exact area) didn't see anything. We didn't hear any shots, see any elk, or even any sign fresher than a week old.
On the bright side I got to prove my 01 Dakota can handle quite a bit in the offroad department. 12K feet, up a 20 degree incline, through a foot and a half of snow, didn't get stuck once! Even my dad's 07 Tacoma got stuck a few times.

Mowed my lawn in the back yard, first time since August... Lot of work but it really wasn't that long...

I went to work and then after work went to a local park for a walk and some fresh air and some autumn colours.

I have seen a crap load of bucks. Shot one but lost it after a mile of tracking the blood trail. Had a 10 point come within 60 yards of me but never got close enough to shoot (bow and arrow).

Spent several hours with the local woodworkers group
making toys to hand out at the Saturday show.
Stayed inside and warm having coffee and donuts...

Re: What did you do today...
Just worked the first night of my newest job. 12 hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Never thought 8:30 AM would be a prudent and reasonable bedtime for me. Good pay, I'm a night owl to start with, and a decent job in a clean room, I should be alright.
