I have a fairly small one.
It is great.
You just have to ceanand wax the tank before using one, and make sure the underside won't scratch.

They are called Tank Bags.

They are excellent. I dislike luggage racks and paniers, so the magnetic tank bags are a simple alternative.

I use a small magnetic tank bag by Joe Rocket-Manta. It has a pouch for cell phone, small pocket for keys and wallet. A larger pocket for other items. The magnetic flaps fold neatly inside back of bag and comes with a shoulder strap and waterproof cover.

One thing though it's quite small-other larger ones are available. Make sure it's clean on top of tank before mounting to prevent scratches.

They sure do. I used to have a strap type system on my old RZ500 and it was always a pain to put the harness on the tank. The magnetic ones however, have a non-slip rubber base and several strong magnets to keep it fastened to the tank. To remove it you just simply lift it up as if you tried to drag it off the side I am sure the bike would fall over before the bag let go.

I have the Icon Urban tank bag and love it! It converts into a backpack, has that neat clear map pocket on the top, and you can strap your helmet onto it.

Here is a link to the cheapest place to find one. And I COMPLETELY trust the seller. Free shipping too!
