Today I am finally back at work after 5 days of moving to the USA from the UK. Working on my laptop now and updating a few things, posting a few messages and answering a ton of emails. Right now I am stuck in a hotel room till we find a place to call our own here. Tomorrow we are off to Dallas, TX for a couple of days then back again. :D

Houston, TX is an intersting place, quite warm so far (30°+) and I really look forward to sorting out my drivers licence so I can start bike shopping. :D Food is really good, although I have no idea why one would choose McDonalds over the local places except for speed.

Sitting in a hotel two blocks from Disneyland, without my Blackberry and only an iPod to link me to the outside world I heard a rumor of big tornadoes in Dallas. Alls ok I hope:). And......welcome to Texas!

Edited my TMW post signature to remove the 1990 Sportster. Bike is still in the family, but not at this household any more. Here's what happened: my stepdaughter was living with us for a while in 2010 and 2011 after some life transitions. Last June I helped her buy this 1990 Sportster. She moved out in August but kept the bike here as she didn't have a good place at her apartment for it.

Thursday a week ago she bought a 2012 Nightster! :D Her living situation changed in January so she now has indoor bike storage and has the Nightster with her. And the '90 Sporty? It has passed to my stepson as his first bike. He took it home to his house last Thursday.

So we're back down to **only** four bikes under this roof, plus two Harleys in the family close by, but not here.

I finally started work on rebuilding my bike. Teardown on Sunday went okay...some good news, some bad...

Good news...front axle was fine, head bearings are good, no cracks in the frame...

Bad news...front rim is effed...about 1/3 of the rim is out by over 1/4"...so off to Kijiji for an R1 rim & to Yamaha to order the new fork & shift lever...

I shot some video of the tear down, but I haven't loaded it on to the computer yet & the battery in the camera died part way through, so I don't even know what I got on video...I'll take some pics & start a thread on the rebuild. I don't think I will be riding in April, but I will be riding soon...

Later.

Went to see the Eagles on Sunday

These wrinkly rockers can teach these younger bands a thing or two. 2 and half hours of just rocking out, no breaks, no crap just brilliant music and a vibe of note.

Awesome

I'm working on that, in the next few years will be living in upstate new York. Not tropical, but they don't have winters like here. Lol.
