I wanted to say that (at least with my bike) if I keep the RPMs too low the engine seems to heat up faster because the engine isn't pulling as much air through the filter. Not sure if I'm going crazy or not but that makes me try to stay close to my power band.

Marvin: You've succeeded. I rarely come to this website because of the low level of participation, but when I do, invariably your inane comments, and carrying on about your little scooter convince me not to bother with reading any more threads. You've succeeded in convincing me to delete this entire site from my favorites and to stick to motorcycle related forums that are not dominated by trolls.
