Re: 2002 voyager won't shift up
Howdy and welcome to the forum. What I would do is (with the bike in neutral) place the bike on the centerstand, then try putting the bike in second gear (lift up). Look at the gear change lever. Do any of the parts look like they're bent? Then try third. Good luck and let us know what you find.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Re: 2002 voyager won't shift up
I have a 87 voyager doing the same thing.I just bought it for a good price.Thought I was getting a deal, that it only needed a starter.Found out it needed a starter clutch.Tore down the whole bike, replaced the starter clutch. Now it runs great, but won't shift up.Does exactly as you described. If you figure out what is the problem, please post on here.I am desperately in need of a good long mind clearing ride.
Thankyou
Thankyou
