Well...I removed the grips...drilled out the bars to accept the new bar end mirrors...had to drill a new hole in the bars so that I could move my grips in 3/4"...re-installed the grips...installed the new mirrors...then realized that the clutch lever was hitting the mount for the new mirrors, so I cut off 3/4" from my levers (temp fix, shorties now needed)...now the throttle sticks a bit  I just don't feel like I'm winning this...

Should I be removing the throttle completely, cleaning the bar and putting on some lithium grease? or can I clean it out with liquid wrench, then spray in graphite? removing the throttle seems to be quite a chore. The throttle still moves freely, but feels gritty...probably some filings from drilling out the bars... :?

Got a lot of work done though, so I'm happy with that. And my truck's steering got looked at and corrected today...pitman arm nut was loose!?! Hopefully I'm done with repairs for a while...but it's time to clean and lube the chain again... :frusty:

Later.

Got the recall done on my bike today...made absolutely no difference to the bike, but now it has the better engineered piece...and the sticking throttle that I got when I installed the bar end mirrors, well the shop went and fixed the problem...but since I hadn't asked them to, they performed a bit of free service...very nice surprise on a Friday afternoon, also goes miles for customer loyalty!!

Anyway, gotta split...sun's out and I'm not working...time to RIDE!!

Later.

Lucky kid. When me and my siblings were kids that sort of thing would have been like going to Mars. We did however spend a lot of time in boats and going fishing and camping. Those were the days when salmon were plentiful..we usually came home with salmon which either got cooked and eaten fresh the same day or went into the freezer for other times.
