Thinking of getting this Magna

Speed is what Magna was built for. This is what I know from experience: Dad's '82 Magna 750 went from 35 to 85 mph, in third, crossing a 3 lane intersection with one twist of my wrist. I didn't feel like stopping for the light, so I gunned it through the yellow. Boy, howdy, was that thrilling at 19 years old.

I'm also worried about having to maintain 4 carbs in good performance and also synced together. Any thoughts?

Bike tech training to be a Mech E. myself...

The 4 carbs together is a royal PITA to work on. The nice thing about the Magnas is that you rarely have to work on the carbs if you ride it more than once a month. Balancing is about all you really need to do to them and that's not so difficult.

Weather permitting...I'll be riding at least twice a week.

Hopefully I'll never need to work on the carbs.

How about SeaFoam? Is it a good preventive measure to carb problems?

Seafoam works great if you've got SOME plugging in your jets. If it's going to be sitting for a while, use some StaBil to stabilize the fuel so it won't gum the carbs up nearly as quickly or badly.

+1 but please make sure it's ethanol compatible that stuff turns gooey after awhile!!!

Should I add Stabil to every tank of fuel? Or add Seafoam?

I know Sta-Bil is the best when storing so I'm going to use it then. But as mentioned above...how about a routine additive?
