Thanks VermilionX. Now Andrea has been going crazy with packing for the past 2 hours... I turned around and the room is packed ready to go for tomorrow!

Did an oil change on the bike tonight & noticed that the "other" fork seal is leaking...it's leaking all over the brakes, explains why the front brake seems spongy...DAMN!! More work to do on the bike...also noticed that my truck is now leaking antifreeze & power steering fluid...YAY...goes with the theme since there is something rattling in the front end as well and I just had it in the shop to fix the steering, ball joints, u-joints ($4300 later), time for new tires too...kinda feeling bummed out...just wish only one thing would break at a time.

Later.

I am just about to ride to my first MAG meeting (Motorcycle Action Group).

I am genuinely interested in the political lobbying that they are involved in, but equally see it as an opportunity to meet more local bikers. I will let you know later how it goes.

My new windshield bag showed up from Amazon yesterday, installed it this afternoon. WOOT! It's just a cheapo, $18 and made in China I'm sure, but it's huge! I could fit this laptop (ACER notebook) in it if I had to. I'm looking forward to being able to toss my wallet, phone, house keys, smokes, lighter, MP3 player and my work badge in there today, and be able to pull the badge out to show it to the guard without risking dumping everything else out.

I went for a ride through some back roads of the Fraser Valley to Cultus Lake and then to Chilliwack Lake. No national monuments to be seen though. Lots of wilderness.

Mount Slesse might have qualified... Although I'm not sure if it's a national site or just a memorial site to the worst air disaster in Western Canada...

It's been hot here lately (34C yesterday) so this morning I got up at 5 a.m. for a ride and got home by 8.

Ordered new wheel bearings, steering head bearings and a fork seal kit...once all that is done I will bleed the brakes...custom faring is in the future, along with a custom bracket for hard luggage...MT-01 Touring Edition...yup...then I don't have to give up the AWESOME sound and feel of my bike...

Later.
