On blowing out the index finger of your glove...
I just checked my gloves and confirmed that I'm showing a lot of wear on the index fingers for both hands, marginally more on the right than the left. I don't know what's causing it for you, but for me it's from actually taking the gloves on and off. The rough 'hook' side of the velcro closure catches on the fabric of the index finger when I'm unstrapping them or tightening them up, and freeing the fabric from the velcro pulls at the weave a bit every time. It also happens when I'm getting in and out of my windshield bag.
I've starting wearing fingerless gloves just lately, and they're amazing. I can get stuff in and out of my pockets and strap or unstrap my helmet (smoke too!) without having to take my gloves on and off.
No idea how to fix The Dreaded Black Hand.

You must have a really, really, really big windshield bag.

If you happen to wear glasses and get caught in the rain without any antifog on them, spit works (yep, another disgusting scuba diver trick). Obviously, a visor's too big for this (unless you can find a drooling dog nearby, ha ha).MmeMagpie wrote:So I can foam at the eyes instead of the mouth? Brilliant.
Anti-fog drops sound nice. Useful year-round, too. I ride in winter and my face shield gets a little foggy from time to time.
Depending on what your helmet is, you should be able to stick a semi-permanent insert on the back of the visor, like FogCity, ProGrip, or Pinlock. These things are awesome! They make riding in the rain pretty pleasant, visionwise.
I get black hands too. I just try to wash em as best as I can when the ride's over.

LoL, yes. I sprang for the extra deluxe super windshield bag, saves on motels.
