Just One Thing...
My wife and I were discussing our current bikes and possible future bikes, the pros and cons of each and what sort of bikes would or wouldn't fit our riding style. In the process, it occured to us to ask the question, "If you could change one thing, just one thing, about your bike, what would it be?" After the conversation, it occured to me that with enough responses to that question, you'd have a pretty valuable resource for someone thinking of buying a new bike or upgrading their current bike.
For this to work, you can't scroll through other people's answers before you respond. Just click Reply, tell us what kind of bike you ride (your primary ride, of course), and what one single thing you'd change about it if you could snap your fingers and have it done.

Re: Just One Thing...
I'm adding this post as a 'buffer' from the first post, to preserve the 'gut reaction' nature of the question.

I ride a 2001 Vulcan Classic 800, and my wife rides a 2003 Honda Shadow ACE 750. Our answer to the question was the same for both of us -
Add a sixth gear.

Change the location or shape of the air cleaner. I'm short, and my knee hits it in an uncomfortable way.

Re: Just One Thing...
Trophy- less heat
Bonneville- better suspension (it has suspension??)
V-Strom- fix the fueling glitch at 3600 rpm
The Bonneville and V-Strom problems are curable, just not motivated to make the effort.

Re: Just One Thing...
I have two bikes. First up the Buell; there's no storage space, the ride is rough, this one doesn't like going slow. Now the Concours; so much room, this is like riding on a boat, this one doesn't like going slow.

People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

1996 Ducati 900SS: Increase steering radius
2002 BMW R1150R: Rear brake that don't lock up so easily
2004 CBR 600RR: Some storage space
2006 KLX250S: It should be easier to loft the front over obstacles with just the throttle without clutching it. I just got a pumper so that should solve that problem.
2008 Ducati Hypermotard 1100: Smoother fueling at low speeds.
