2. My tiny oxy-acetylene torch, general tool-whoring, hitting metal with hammers, pretty gems, jewelry, the people I meet, fun chemicals, working in my pajamas. (Gorgeous 50 mile round trip to work on the bike three days a week, espresso)
3. No climate control at either job.

What else is there in life...don't waste your life working, live while you can!

Great for you - do you have to fly in? I never used to take my holidays but accepted a change in role so I could. So far this year I have taken 5 weeks and 1 week to go! Life is too short to work all of the damned time!
Yup, fly in...best of both worlds...I will actually get 6 1/2 days off, instead of losing two full days to travel...Not in Fort Crack, but close...just south of Anzac.
I used to buy one or two extra weeks of vacation time on top of the three weeks that I got, but this is way better! And I will make more money doing it, DOUBLE BONUS!!

I'm a truck driver nowadays. Or was. I quit my job after saving up for a year, and now all I do is spend my time riding around on my ninja. When I'm done I may go back to food service, trucking blows.
