What's the coldest you willingly ride in?

When I was 14 y.o. I had the choice to ride an hour and a half on the school bus or ride 16kms (illegally) on my DT200. The only thing that I had that resembled riding gear was a helmet, but man I hated that bus. Therefore if it was at all possible to ride - I rode. And I learned to HATE it. Some days I was so cold that I could barely speak until lunch time. Now I have awesome heated gear and grips, and a Tour-Master riding suit and I rarely ride below -5 I ride to enjoy it, but I honestly don't enjoy it when I am freezing my "O Ring" off. That's what the F150 is for

That's my old 2006 Nevada. My friend bought it last year when I got my Harley. He keeps it in my garage. Here we are in Austria a couple of months ago:

Last year we both rode throughout the winter, except for two weeks in February when the snow was deep. We both have heated gear.

I refuse point blank to ride anything below 20C

In Africa that is considered bloody freezing and we have to have our sundowners indoors, I mean really, you Phillistines live in such ugly cold countries

I'm with high_side...I don't choose to ride any colder than -5C...I have, but it was a little painful...windchill @ 115kph and -10C can be a little nasty. If the sun is out and the roads are clear, it's hard not to jump on the bike and go for a ride.

I ride for fun, not necessity. When its not fun to ride I take my car. And for me, fun stops when I either get too cold or have to bundle up to the point that I lose the experience of being on the bike as opposed to being in a car. So mostly, I stop when it is below about 55 or 60 degrees. I'm not really an ATGATT guy, and find the most pleasurable riding is when I go out in jeans and a t-shirt and a 3/4 helmet (but I do wear gloves), and that means 75+ degrees. I never understood the desire to strive to ride in colder and colder temps; maybe its a macho thing for some riders. Sort of like the Iron Butt idea, I just don't get the point of riding to exhaustion, just to cover some great distance. I've done up to 850 mile days when I have had to, and have ridden in 20 degree weather, but not out of choice.

Paid my dues riding to work in the snow in the UK, never ever doing that again, like ever.

Honestly, it can get cold here and the coldest I have ridden here is -2C and that was a 1000 km ride. Biggest problem on that ride, was sweating and dehydration.

The other side is how hot it can get here, I have ridden in 42C heat, much much worse than the cold.

So yeah, leave me alone, ya bully. It is nice and warm here in the Veld
