i got my bike back from the shop. down 600$ though.

Picked up my DL1000 tonight from it's first valve adjustment - bike has a long valve check internval: 24K miles. So long in fact, I forgot about it, and the bike was 10,000 miles overdue. All 8 valves were out of spec. Job cost me over $600 at the shop, and it should have cost more. They spent 8 hours on it due to the peculiarities of accessing the V-strom's front cylinder, but only charged me for 6 hours. It was worth it, the bike's accelaration was notably sharper bringing it home from the shop.
