my kdx wont start.

hi im having problems starting my 2stroke kdx it will only bump start but wont start of the kick. fuel is fine ,new air filter,idles and runs fine just wont fire of the kickstart. any ideas,cheers,kevin.

When was the last time it was rebuilt? When a two stroke starts to loose compression they will become difficult to start by kick but will start when bumped because they can build up enough compression when roll starting. If you have access to a compression tester that would be the first step in determining if it needs to be rebuilt. You can also pull the exaust pipe to inspect the condition of the piston and cylinder wall.

first check your plugs and gap but Erik has a point I just always do the simple things first
